XCarLink

The latest Xcarlink integration now makes it possible to add Apple Carplay and Android Auto to the original factory fitted Audi 2G MMI system. It provides the same functionality to Audi vehicles that were manufactured before the Apple Carplay and Android Auto option was available. 

This kit will provide Apple Car Play and Android Auto on the original Audi Screen and navigate through the system via Touch screen which is achieved with the use of the included transparent touch screen digitizer which fits over the front of the original screen.

Provides access to all of the essential apps in your car such as Phone calls, messaging, Navigation, Music/Spotify etc, connected directly to your smartphone.

An external microphone is included which allows integration of Voice commands through Google or Siri, and the sound is played through the car speakers via the AUX input.  

The Apple Carplay / Android auto kit does not replace any of the original equipment in the vehicle, it will instead add functionality to it while the original system will continue to operate as normal.

Android Auto was designed with safety in mind. With a simple and intuitive interface integrated steering wheel controls, and powerful new voice actions its designed to minimize distraction so you can stay focused on the road.
Android Auto automatically brings you useful information and organises it into simple cards that appear just when they are needed.  Simply touch any of the icons via the original touchscreen.	Android Auto Supports both Google Maps and Waze Navigation.  Take advantage of voice-guided navigation, live traffic information, lane guidance and more
Make and receive phone calls, reply to messages or listen to voicemails while on the move.	Use Google Play Music or Spotify.  Browse by Artist, Albums, playlists access all your music in the vehicle.

Installation: 

Installation takes place behind the MMI unit which on most vehicles is located behind the glove box, or alternatively behind the dashboard. 

Compatibility:

Compatible with the 2G MMI High systems in the following models:

Audi A6, Audi A8 and Audi Q7 up to 2009

Also compatible with the Audi A4, Audi A5 and Audi Q5 with the 2G MMI High option.

Not compatible with 2G MMI Basic (red monochrome screen), 3G MMI or the Concert/Symphony radios.
